Post Japan – Quick Analysis

A very sad end to the race, let’s hope Jules Bianchi makes a speedy recovery, the news so far is encouraging.

Just pulled the results through the engine and I do need do double check things but this is the following summary (which surprises me, although it should not given the way the models work):

  • despite some surprising and great results for teams an individuals, the results did not move the strategic position.
  • the exception is Ferrari who gave 1% of the Performance Coefficient to the rest of the field.
  • Despite Hamilton’s win, it is going to be very close and will go to the last race, which I why I guess the double points wheeze was invented?

Will publish more analysis once I have spent some more time looking at the charts!
